Location: Located on the Opihi River, Steve's guided fly fishing tours, guided hunting trips and adventure excursions are within a half hour of the three finest fishing rivers in the South Island, New Zealand. Steve can guide you fishing, big game trophy hunting, small game shooting, adventure trekking, and on an extensive variety of other outdoor recreational pursuits. Accommodation can be arranged in his galley, or else locally to suit your travel itinery, and while you enjoy the hospitality, you can get the chance to see some of NZ's famous unspoilt scenery.

Fishing: Steve's guided fly fishing tours are very popular, with trout or salmon available from our freshwater lakes, rivers and streams, as well as surfcasting for shark on the local beach. If a mounted trophy fish is your aim, then Steve's your man. In 2003 the world's largest rainbow trout was caught in the Tekapo Canals, only an hour and a half's drive inland. Steve can guide you to some great fishing spots to net that great catch or else for deep sea adventures, he can easily arrange a charter.

Trophy Hunting: Your hunting trip planning can be left to Steve if hunting and shooting is your outdoor activity. He can arrange a guided hunting trip for wild boar, himalayan tahr, chamois and deer. If you are after small game, then he can easily guide you to great possum, wallaby, rabbit and duck shooting spots during the season.

Off Road Adventure: As well as hunting and fishing tours, Steve also has a wide range of adventure activities to choose from. Explore inland New Zealand in a 4x4, or have some fun on his six wheel argo. Would you like to take a more peaceful look at our rivers, beaches and hinterland? Backpacker: Steve doesn't only cater for the daytime adventurers, hunters and anglers, he can accommodate you for the night. A beautifully rustic galley has been converted to a nice sleepout with double bed, cooking, heating and television.
