If hunting and shooting are your outdoor leisure activities, then
you have come to the right place. Steve can take you inland to the
Hunter Hills, or through the rolling hills of the Mackenzie country
to the Southern Alps of New Zealand's South Island to hunt for wild
boar, himalayan tahr [thar], chamois and red and fallow deer and
at the same time see some of the world's most beautiful scenery.
If you want to chase small game, then he can easily guide you to
great possum, rabbit, wallaby and duck shooting spots during the
season.
Would you like to go on a big game trophy hunt? Contact Steve early
so that a trophy animal hunt can be arranged. Steve can also arrange
overnight hunting trips with access to campsites and huts in some
areas.
Why not try the challenge of hunting small game like possum, rabbit
and wallaby in the local Hunter Hills, or go shooting for mallard,
grey or paradise duck and Canadian Geese during the season.
Steve's guided hunts are restricted to a maximum of two people,
thus ensuring more personal attention and safety on your shoot.
A day's hunt only costs NZ$400 per person, and is well worth the
trip. Overnight trips and longer are charged according to requirements,
but the best thing to do is to contact Steve and let him know
what you would like to do. He can then give you a quote for your
desired hunting and shooting trip.
The hunting seasons for New Zealand and the Central South Island
districts can be found under the information pages, while the
resource pages will also have links to more hunting facts.
