Location: Located on the Opihi River, Steve's guided fly fishing tours, guided hunting trips and adventure excursions are within a half hour of the three finest fishing rivers in the South Island, New Zealand. Fishing: Steve's guided fly fishing tours are very popular, with trout or salmon available from our freshwater lakes, rivers and streams, as well as surfcasting for shark on the local beach. If a mounted trophy fish is your aim, then Steve's your man. In 2003 the world's largest rainbow trout was caught in the Tekapo Canals, only an hour and a half's drive inland. Steve can guide you to some great fishing spots to net that great catch or else for deep sea adventures, he can easily arrange a charter.
